The recycling of waste, especially hazardous waste, transforms a major environmental problem into a source of raw materials; it is therefore one of the cornerstones of the European Union’s environmental policy (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) contributing decisively to the decarbonization of our production system, the preservation of natural resources and the reduction of the carbon footprint of our customers’ activities.

Since COMETAL was founded in 1963, the commitment to the continuous search for recycling opportunities has been a constant in our history with a multitude of success stories: steel mill dust, spend catalysts, waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE), batteries, scrap metal, sludge, etc.

Our approach:

• We study the best possible solution/treatment for any metal containing residue or metal oxides that can be recycled in an economically viable way.
• We are qualified as “Waste Manager ” in accordance with current legislation, which allows us to take possession of the waste and take care of all the necessary legal/documentation procedures.
• Our agreements with different recyclers allow us to provide reliable solutions, with full traceability and maximizing the economic return from the management of  metal containing residues or metal oxides.
