APPLICATION
SRF 75 is a highly effective inoculant for the production of cast iron with lamellar graphite and nodular graphite. The SRF 75 is based on FeSi 75 with extremely low aluminum and calcium content. The inoculant has also proven highly effective in the production of cast iron with vermicular graphite. The inoculation effectiveness is achieved with the strontium content of the alloy. When using SRF 75 for the pro- duction of cast iron with nodular graphite, it must be ensured that products with low contents of calcium and rare earth metals are used during melting, desulfurization and treatment.
