APPLICATION
The elements titanium and calcium provide a graphitizing and deoxidizing effect for cast iron with lamellar graphite. In addition, the titanium contained in the LC Grapi- dox reacts with the nitrogen in the molten metal. The soluble nitrogen is thus inef- fective, minimizing the possibility of nitrogen porosity.
