APPLICATION
The inoculant Dekastan 08 has been specially developed for pearlitic types of cast iron. The use of Dekastan 08 enables the addition of tin and inoculation in one step, thereby increasing the process reliability and its effectiveness.

ADDITION RATES
Corresponding to the respective conditions, the addition rate is approx.
0.05 – 0.5% by weight. The addition rate depends on the nucleation state of the molten metal and the casting requirements.

- 100 kg steel drum on pallet
The containers are covered with a protective film.
SHELF LIFE AND TRANSPORT
Dekastan 08 can be stored indefinitely in its original packaging. The effects of hu- midity are to be avoided. Relevant hazardous substance regulations must be com- plied with. Our Shipment Handling department can provide further information. De- kastan 08 is not a hazardous substance as defined by transport regulations.
